Here in an area bounded by Buxton, Edale and Bakewell – you’ll find some of the most beautiful countryside and man-made treasures in Britain. It is home to Chatsworth House, Dovedale, Buxton Mineral Water and the great Bakewell Pudding! The Quintessential English scenery of the Derbyshire Dales is made up of unspoiled stone villages complete with duck ponds and picturesque stone bridges spanning lovely rivers.

STONE HOUSE HOTEL was originally a large traditional country house, which has been elegantly restored and extended with tranquil gardens and outside terraces. Located in the heart of Staffordshire in the charming canal town of Stone and situated between Junction 14 and Junction 15 of the M6, the Stone House Hotel provides an ideal stay for both the business and leisure traveller. The Stone House Hotel has 57 well-appointed en-suite bedrooms filled with character, as well as a leisure centre, bar, lounge, two restaurants and function rooms.

During this 5-day tour we include as many of Derbyshire’s key attractions as time permits without exception a guided tour of Chatsworth House the palatial home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire with its 175 rooms, marvelous gardens, parkland including the mighty Emperor Fountain.  Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock and Matlock Bath are just some of the places we will visit in and around this district. Buxton, as a Spa Town, has been a popular holiday resort for centuries. Based at the heart of the Peak District in the county of Derbyshire, and blessed with stunning scenery, magnificent architecture, and a wealth of shops. Coupled with its world-famous spa water, Buxton has plenty to offer to any visitor.

We will travel to Snake Pass to explore the high peaks of Derbyshire overlooking Ladybower Reservoir where the Dambusters trained during WW11. Day two will discover the Southern end of the Peak District as you sit back and enjoy a nostalgic 25 min steam train journey between Rowsley and Matlock. Our tour will include the resort Matlock Bath with optional cable-car ride to the Heights of Abraham.

This coach tour starts from pickups in Northern Ireland on Monday 14th September with departure on the 2.45pm Stena ferry sailing from Dublin to Holyhead. With a distance of 132 miles to Stone and comfort stops en-route we plan to arrive at our hotel, Stone House Hotel, for a late dinner. The return sailing on Friday 18th September departs Holyhead at 2.45pm due into Dublin at 6pm.
