on 'The English Riviera'

JUNE - From Monday 1st Until Monday 8th
8 Day Fly/Coach Holiday
Direct flight from Belfast Internaltional Airport
3*** Palace Hotel - Paignton

Enjoy all South Devon has to offer including a stay at The Palace Hotel, situated on the Seafront in the delightful town of Paignton, in the area known as Torbay. Victorian visitors were so struck by the similarities between Torbay and the South of France they named the beautiful palm lined coast ‘The English Riviera’. There are twenty-two miles of coastline, cliffs, coves and beaches and walks to rival any in the Southwest of England, with a climate that belongs somewhere much further south.

THE PALACE HOTEL, (www.palacepaignton.com) is a 3***hotel situated on Paignton Seafront with amazing views from the hotel across Paignton green and seafront with level walking to beach and shops.

1. ‘Round Robin’ trip – one of the ‘must do’ attractions when in South Devon is the Steam Train from Paignton to Kingswear along the south Devon coast and then the ferry crossing to Dartmouth where you have time to lunch and explore this south Devon Jewel. Ancient narrow streets house boutique shops, art galleries and delicatessens. Afternoon paddle-steamer cruise on the river Dart.

2. Dartmoor National Park coach tour will include interesting scenery through Dartmoor with stops at interesting visits such as Buckfast Abbey, Widecombe-in-the-Moor Haytor Tourist Centre. The tour will include a visit to Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, the Barbican and Sutton Harbour. Tour Leader will be happy to arrange other optional tours if requested with sufficient numbers.

3. Torquay and Babbacombe Model Village Torquay, a traditional yet thriving seaside town set on Devon's English Riviera coast.  With its iconic palm trees, busy harbour, sandy beach, restaurants, quality shopping - a perfect seaside town!
